Come On Eileen

just finished watching the u.s. lose another game, and our last game in this world cup.  blame is already being thrown everywhere (coach, players, refs), but in the end it doesnt really matter.  we didnt get it done, and better teams outplayed us.  period.  yeah, it would have been nice if donovan had shown up to any of the games, and if beasley had played a little more consistently, and if arena would have been more aggressive with his substitutions, and if the refs had pretended to have a clue, but none of that happened, and we are the better for it, cause frankly, our games really havent been all that exciting.  after settling down from my initial frustration, i think that i would rather watch ghana vs brazil than the u.s. vs brazil.

Agreed on many of your points. I think effort was a bit sporadic and people should have either taken themselves out personally for playing so badly or just played to have fun. I think our team has forgotten that a bit. International football is about passion, desire, and fun. Passion and desire is like american basketball/football, but not many others can truly have fun like when you play soccer!

allan, that is a great point. clearly not a single one of our players had any fun during any of the matches, which is quite different than in 2002. its still a game isnt it? and games are supposed to be fun!
